If you want to adjust the shade during the day, choose a motorised louvred bioclimatic pergola. If a car simply needs a closed roof all year, the fixed-panel Carport does the job.
Do you want an open sky?
If an open sky matters, look at the retracting panels of SkyMax and SkyPro or at the gathering fabric roofs of Avantgarde and Elegant. On SkyLounge, light comes through the gaps between open louvres instead.
Will you sit outside in the rain?
When closed, louvres form a sheltering roof and water drains through the posts. Among fabric roofs, Avantgarde also brings waterproof fabric and gutter profiles.
Will you use the terrace in winter?
Side closure decides winter use, because zip screens or glass keep the wind out. On the bioclimatic series, heater and LED options also extend the evening.
Motor or manual?
Toscana opens and closes by hand, so installation stays simple. On the other moving series, a motor does the work while you control it by remote.
Wind, low sun or privacy?
If sun from the side, wind or passers-by are the issue, look at the i-Zip Screen. Its fabric edges run in side rails, so the screen stays taut and also keeps insects out.

Bioclimatic or retractable roof pergola: which one?
In a bioclimatic pergola, motorised aluminium louvres adjust the shade and form a sheltering roof when closed. In a retractable roof pergola, technical fabric folds back along rails and opens the sky. So if you want adjustable shade, the louvred system leads; if you like the look of fabric and an opening roof, the retractable roof leads. Size and use then settle it.
Which pergola gives shelter in the rain?
On the bioclimatic series, closed louvres form a sheltering roof, and water collects in channels before it drains through the posts. Among the fabric systems, Avantgarde offers waterproof fabric and gutter profiles, while Toscana's fabric is waterproof as well. However, in windy or wet regions we recommend choosing the series with our team at the survey.
What is the difference between SkyMax and SkyPro?
Both series have aluminium panels that rotate and retract. SkyMax is the flagship of the Sky Series and targets hotels, restaurants and large terraces. SkyPro, by contrast, is a balanced choice for homes and business terraces with double-walled louvres. You can set its blades closed, half open or open, so the louvre design also shapes the look of the terrace.
How does the series affect the price of a pergola?
Besides the series, size, colour and finish, side closure, extras such as lighting and heating, and the installation site set the price.
