In the louvred systems, i-Zip Screen side screens or glass panels can close the gaps between posts. The retractable roof systems can also combine with side closing systems to form a fully enclosed area.

Which colours and finishes are available?
Aluminium profiles receive electrostatic powder coating in RAL colours or wood-grain finishes. So you can match the system to the façade and window frames. For fabric, Toscana offers colours such as cream, grey and beige. i-Zip Screen also comes with fabric colour options. Our project support team shares the options for your project.
How are rainwater drainage and power handled in the project?
In the louvred systems, rainwater collects in the louvre channels and drains through the posts. Drainage and cables stay inside the profiles, so no pipes or cables are visible on the terrace. We plan the drainage point and the power supply for LED lighting, heaters or sensors together with the project. Among the retractable roof systems, Avantgarde also has gutter profiles.
Bioclimatic or retractable roof: how do you choose for a project?
In a bioclimatic pergola, motorised aluminium louvres close into a roof that protects from rain. When they open, they give shade and ventilation. A retractable roof pergola, however, has a technical fabric roof that folds back along rails. The choice therefore depends on the use, the side closure and the design language. That depends on local planning rules, the building's management rules and whether the system attaches to the building.
