A car parked in the driveway bakes in the summer sun, then deals with frost and snow in winter. Hail and heavy rain can also damage paint and glass. That is why we plan a parking shade structure for year-round protection, not just shade.
So we designed the Carport for exactly this. Its roof uses fixed aluminum panels instead of moving louvers, so your cars get a permanent cover. Rainwater drains away out of sight, while the minimalist lines suit modern homes.
The system can stand on its own or attach to your house. For example, it can connect to the facade at the front entrance, or stand alone in a community parking lot. The same fixed roof can also cover a patio or shade a hot tub.

Carport and parking shade questions.
What is the difference between a carport and a louvered pergola?
The Carport roof uses fixed aluminum panels instead of moving louvers. That gives your cars a permanent cover with no moving parts overhead. A louvered pergola, by contrast, rotates its louvers to adjust shade and airflow on a patio. For a parking shade structure we suggest the Carport, and for seating a louvered Sky Series model.
Will a carport protect my car from hail and snow?
Yes. We designed the Carport to protect cars from sun, rain, frost, hail and snow. We design our aluminum systems with rain, wind and snow conditions in mind. Our technical team then calculates the values for your size and site. So you get values such as snow load in writing, based on drawings or a site visit.
Should a carport stand alone or attach to the house?
Both work. The Carport can stand on its own or attach to your house. For example, a front entrance may suit an attached roof, while an open parking area may suit a freestanding one. We help you decide based on the ground, anchor points and driveway direction. That way your parking shade structure fits both daily use and the house.
Where does the rainwater from a carport go?
The Carport has hidden drainage: rainwater leaves the roof through a drainage line, with no visible downspouts. We set the drain point after checking the ground and existing drains. On attached installations, we also plan the connection so water does not run toward the facade or entrance. This way the water reaches a controlled point on your property.
How much does a parking shade structure cost?
The cost of a parking shade structure depends on size, number of cars, installation type, color and finish. The installation site also plays a part.
